Applying for Housing:
Once you are offered admission, the next step is to apply for housing! As a spring applicant, my housing application was open on November 12th and was notified on November 26th. Depending on the semester and year, dates may be different so check for application dates here!
APPLICATION TIPS:
APPLICATION TIPS:
- Check Time Difference!
- Being in Hawaii, there is a large time difference between Singapore (specifically, 18hrs). When applying for housing, the application opens at 10am, which is 4pm Hawaii time.
- Be open minded
- Although you may apply once the housing application is open, there is a high chance that you will not get your first choice (especially if it is UTown w/AC). My choices (in order) were UTown w/AC, UTown w/o AC, and PGPR. I ultimately ended up getting UTown w/o AC.
Once Housing is Offered:
Congratulations you've been offered housing! First things first, remember to accept your offer to secure your housing for the semester (keep a lookout for the deadline date as it is usually one week). One thing to keep in mind is that in order to accept housing, you will need to pay the full housing fee (remember to SAVE the full hostel fees payment receipt). Once that is complete, the next step would be to complete a short module. This short course is to ensure that each student understands housing information as well as regulations.
