Applying for Housing:
To apply for housing at Ewha, it's done at the same time as your Ewha application. On your application, it will ask you regarding your housing preferences.
APPLICATION TIPS:
APPLICATION TIPS:
- If you really want a dorm: make sure to mark "yes" when it asks whether you would still like to live in a dormitory if you don't get your preference!
Once Housing is Announced:
Through the Ewha Communication Channel portal, the school will announce the outcome of your housing (make sure you know your ID# to check on the spreadsheet)! Don't be discouraged if you don't get a room on your first try! I didn't get a room my first round as due to covid, all rooms were single occupancy, limited the rooms available.
However, they offer a waitlist if you still are interested! I would try to fill out the form ASAP as although they don't mention it, it could potentially be on a first come first serve basis. Although you still have a chance, I would still recommend looking up goshiwons in the area as a back up in case you don't get once. Luckily, after about two weeks of waiting, I was notified that I received a double occupancy dorm for myself.

Housing Update:
After I moved into the dorms, I moved out within 2 days. It was hygienically not what I expected and could not see myself living there for the entire semester. The room had molding issues (which the school acknowledged but proceeded to mention that they can't do anything about it), the walls were stained and had yellow spotting/wet marks, hair on my bed/pillow, etc. For these reasons, I moved out with one of my friends to the Hongdae area. Although I'm not right by Ewha, given that my classes were all online, It was a viable option. However, when classes are in-person, I would recommend finding housing (whether it is a goshiwon, Airbnb, etc.) off campus but near the school.
